As a key member of Wasserman’s industry-leading Consulting Division, you will be responsible for developing insight-led marketing and sponsorship strategy for our brand clients. Successful candidates will have an analytical foundation, exhibiting outstanding skills across qualitative and quantitative research, data visualization, and technical writing. As Wasserman supports hybrid working environments, the successful candidate will work from the office in Toronto and a remote location.

Requirements

Successful candidates have proven skills and can quantify success in brand strategy & consulting-related projects within a professional services environment, using creative thinking and individual initiative, including the following:

  • Uncover ongoing sponsorship and market trends within sport, entertainment and lifestyle, translating key insights into strategic recommendations
  • Create compelling, design-forward presentation decks containing strong strategic storylines and impactful visuals
  • Deliver thoughtful, data-led marketing and partnership frameworks and solutions
  • Synthesize significant amounts of data and information through quantitative and qualitative analysis using the appropriate analytics tools and technology
  • Build data visualization tools (charts, graphs, and maps) to communicate trends, outliers and patterns in data in an accessible manner
  • Complete detailed program and partnership valuation and measurement (utilizing proprietary and industry tools) to determine sponsorship ROI and strategic fit for clients
  • Conduct market landscape studies to determine suitable opportunities that align to client values, brand positioning and objectives
  • Collaborate with senior team members to recommend new business concepts and approaches and secure client buy-in
  • Conduct the day-to-day management of multiple client projects, determining critical milestones and reporting progress in a regular, timely manner.
  • Manage work plans, client expectations, and anticipate challenges across various entities to ensure flawless execution.
  • Participate in thought leadership deliverables, bringing an independent, well-informed point of view
  • Go above and beyond to deliver best in class results and client service excellence

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as a team, while juggling multiple tasks and deliverables

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Able to communicate with maturity and effectiveness at all levels of an organization.
  • Working knowledge of project management fundamentals, with laser sharp attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategy development / competitive strategy; working with client segmentations and / or client portfolios
  • Up-to-date and above average knowledge of the sponsorship and/or marketing industry.
  • 5+ years relevant experience, with minimum 2 years of direct experience in consulting, marketing, strategy, sponsorship and/or insights & analytics
  • Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in business and/or marketing. MBA considered an asset

What Do You Need to Succeed?

  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to isolate key insights that will contribute to practical strategic recommendations
  • Ability to think creatively and tell a compelling story through design-forward visuals and impactful writing, particularly through presentation decks
  • High-level of proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and a complimentary range of data visualization tools
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with the ability to manage complex databases
  • Experience working with syndicated research tools (i.e. Vividata/Nielsen, Scarborough, GWI) an asset

What Experience Are We Looking \For?:

  • 5+ years relevant experience, with minimum 2 years of direct experience in consulting, marketing, strategy, sponsorship and/or insights & analytics
  • Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in business and/or marketing. MBA considered an asset
