SMCC 2024-25 Board of Directors Elections

The Board of Directors of the Sponsorship Marketing Council Canada invited applications for seven (7) Director at Large positions and two (2) Director, Montreal Market position on the Board of Directors for a term of up to three (3) years beginning in November 2024. 

Thank you to all who submitted applications for the 2024-25 SMCC Board of Directors. It is our pleasure to inform you of the nominations received for all positions here.  

Voting Eligibility 

In accordance with SMCC bylaws, each organization shall have one official representative eligible to vote. Only Primary Members in good standing are eligible to vote in the SMCC Board Election. All Primary Members will receive a separate email from ElectionBuddy. Please make sure to keep an eye on your inbox for your voting link and be sure to check your spam folder if it does not arrive. 

Election Process  

Please assist us with this final step in the election process by reviewing the candidate materials online and then completing the online vote. We are using an online election system, ElectionBuddy to tabulate votes. Voting members should have received a separate email with a unique voting access key and instructions on how to cast a vote. The unique access key should not be shared unless you would like someone else from your organization to vote on your behalf (voter proxy).  

Elections will take place by an electronic vote on the ElectionBuddy platform until Thursday, October 31st, 2024, at 11:45 PM EST.  

The Elections Committee will tabulate the results of the election and present them to the Board. The Board will appoint duties to the elected officials as determined by the election results and will put forward a motion for the Slate of Directors, which will be ratified at the Annual General Meeting in November.
